A huge tax bill that Congress passed last week contained a little-noticed gift for select corporations -- tens of millions of dollars in breaks on import tariffs.

Early Saturday morning, in the frantic final hours of the 109th Congress, lawmakers rolled 520 tariff suspensions into the must-pass bill. The provisions will reduce or eliminate taxes on imported products as varied as shoes, camcorders and boiled oysters.

Another huge tax break for the super-rich. The traitorous multi-national corporations already reap huge profit from using third world slave labor. This is greed without end.
Those taxes would've gone to pay for that expensive war currently draining our treasury. The USA can not afford any more corporate tax breaks that work against American well-being.
Not only does this goose our trade deficit to increase even faster, it accelerates the loss of American jobs.
You can bet that our world competitors (China)are not going to relax their protectionist rules and practices.
Why do we keep doing long term damage to our economy for a short term profit for a few?
